home-made spoiler job. Being Bogans and all and having no understanding of the basics of aerodynamics or the general functioning of a spoiler, they get some sheet metal like mild steel and fashion it into a spoiler on two braces attached to the top rear of the wagon's roof and usually on the back hatch of the wagon the spoiler is attached, so basically this is gonna do nothing, but if it did anything, it would contribute application of lifting force to the rear axle of the car, thereby fucking up road holding capability. In other words these techno bogans set the angle of incidence of the spoiler so that the ski effect will push air down instead of deflecting it up. One quick comparison check on famous and successful rally hatch cars that go in rally races shows that the real spoilers on hatch cars look like they either act to improve suction behind the car or they have a slight upward angle. If you ever see one of those previously mentioned bogan pimped out anti-spoiler home made jobs gettin about, it is your duty to whio out the iPhone and photograph it and post it here.
