'Suck on that': Ugly spat for Australia's Next Top Modelhttp://www.theage.com.au/entertainment/tv-and-radio/suck-on-that-ugly-spat-for-australias-next-top-model-20100630-zl0u.htmlQueensland hopeful and former Gold Coast meter maid Kimberly Thrupp has used her 15 minutes of fame to take a swipe at her ex-boss for paying a "shitty" wage and firing her after she asked for time off. Thrupp has also accused Meter Maids owner Roberta Aitchison of trying to use her appearance on the Foxtel reality program, now in its sixth season, to publicise her business, which pays girls in gold bikinis to walk the Surfers Paradise strip feeding coins into parking meters. Among Thrupp's gripes: "Walking around for eight hours in heels".

The spat has spread to the pages of the local newspaper, the Gold Coast Bulletin, with Ms Aitchison hitting back with claims Thrupp failed to show up for work and deliberately defied orders by getting five tattoos inked on her back.
"People think we put money in the meters but we don't ... and you get paid shit," Thrupp was quoted as saying from the ANTM set in Melbourne this month, where stylists cut off her beach babe blonde locks.
"Thank frig for that. I'm not a meter maid any more," she said of the new look.
"Suck on that Roberta.
"I hate that lady. She fired me because I asked for Good Friday off."
The ugly exchange has drawn comparisons with last season's potty-mouthed contestant Cassi Van Den Dungen, who was nicknamed "the boganista" for her on-set antics.
The-then 16-year-old competition runner up hit the headlines after describing herself as a "Jim Beam and Coke person" and revealing she had moved in with her 26-year-old bricklayer boyfriend. She recently landed a contract with Myer.
Ms Aitchison said she was "gobsmacked" by Thrupp's broadside and said she had tried to work with the aspiring model to improve her career prospects.
"The reason she stopped working for me was because of some of the things she was doing ... weren't lady-like," Ms Aitchison told the newspaper.
"I tried to pull the Toowoomba out of her.
"One thing I don't want for the girls is to get tattoos, so she went out and got five star tattoos on her back.
"I have done everything for that girl and I just can't believe it, I'm astounded."
Thrupp is competing against 16 other young women for a Priscilla's modelling contract, $50,000 in cash and campaign deals and a Harpers Bazaar spread.
Denying a report Thrupp had posted nasty comments about her ex-boss on Facebook, an ANTM spokeswoman admitted the former Miami High School student had a "strong personality", which had led to fireworks in the Next Top Model house.
But she said comparisons with Van Den Dungen were off the mark.
"Cassi and Kimberly really are like chalk and cheese," the spokeswoman said.
"Kimberly is a very beautiful, very strong person who isn't afraid to stand up for herself and that comes through on the show. It makes for some very interesting moments."
Australia's Next Top Model was the highest-rating entertainment program for Foxtel last year, with 680,000 people tuning in for the finale.
